Pro-Art proudly presents Shreds & Patches Theater Company in Peter/Wendy on Saturday, August 23rd at 7 p.m. at Lyric Theater in St. Paul and Friday, August 29th at 7 p.m. at Lee Theatre in Pennington Gap. Children and students will be admitted free to the performances. Adult tickets are $15 at the door.
Shreds & Patches Theater Company invites you to take flight in their upcoming production of Peter/Wendy, playwright Jeremy Bloom’s reimagining of Peter Pan. Stripping the story down to its emotional essence, Bloom’s adaptation captures the wonder, longing, and bittersweet truths at the heart of Peter Pan’s world.
In this lyrical, atmospheric interpretation, Peter lures Wendy away from her nursery to the magical world of Neverland, where she joins his adventures with Tinker Bell, Tiger Lily, and the menacing Captain Hook. This inventive adaptation pays homage to the darker themes of J. M. Barrie's original, mesmerizing audiences of all ages. The result is a theatrical experience that’s both familiar and startlingly fresh.
