Town of Wise Town Council Meeting - Change of Date

A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF WISE, VIRGINIA CHANGING THE DATE OF THE MARCH, 2026 TOWN COUNCIL MEETING

WHEREAS, the Wise Town Council’s regular meeting date has been properly established by Resolution No. 1, 2025 as the fourth Tuesday of each month; and,

WHEREAS, one or more council members will be unavailable on said date during the month of March, 2026.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Wise, Virginia that it hereby cancels the regularly-scheduled meeting of Tuesday, March 24, 2026 and sets a date of March 31, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers of the Wise Municipal Building located at 501 West Main Street, Wise, Virginia for the regular March 2026 Town Council meeting; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said Town Council that it hereby directs the Clerk of Council to post a copy of this Resolution on the front door of the Wise Municipal Building and to insert said Resolution in a newspaper having general circulation in the Town at least seven days prior to the first such meeting at such other day, as prescribed by Virginia Code Section 15.2-1416.
